Secret Recipe Formula | Soft and Juicy Coconut Ladoo Recipe | Indian Sweets | Festive Recipe | Grandmothers Recipe | How to make Laddo Coconut Laddu or Coconut Ladoo or avinsh or naru is an authentic sweet that I have learnt from my Grandmother and my mother. It is made during festivals and happy occassions. You can also have during Vrat or Navratri. The flavor of raw coconut mixed with milk sugar and condensed milk makes it unique and it tastes different than the coconut ladoo available in the market which is generally made of dry coconut. It can be stored for even a month if kept in refrigerator

Preparation time -7-10 mins

Cooking time – half an hour

Ingredients :

one and a half coconut (grated)

Sugar -1 cup

Milkmaid / condensed milk -1/2 cup

Milk -2 cups

Crushed green cardamom seeds -4

Desi Ghee – 1 TBL Spn

Step -1

Heat a heavy bottomed vessel/kadhai and heat it. Add the grated coconut and stir it for a minute or two. Add the milk . Cook it at high flame until the milk gets reduced and the coconut becomes softer.

Step -2

Add the sugar and cook until the sugar mixes well and the mixture gets dry.keep stirring frequently.

Step -3

Add the milkmaid and stir and mix well. Stir it continuously untill the mixture gets caramelized and turns light brown in colour. Add the cardamom powder/crushed seeds and switch off the flame.

Step- 4

Allow the mixture to cool to some extent but not completely. Grease your hands with desi cow ghee .Take little portion of the mixture on your palm . Press your palms and give circular shape to the coconut mixture. Form the laddoos while the mixture is still hot. Garnish with chopped dryfruits and serve it.
